The proprietary ARP materials used to make our VW and Porsche head studs, thru-bolts, and connecting rod bolts is about 33% stronger than the stock material, with a 220,000psi tensile strength and improved fatigue characteristics.
Use of ARP fasteners in your Porsche or VW will ensure that your engine will be assembled with the most accurate and even clamping load possible, and will maintain that spec for prolonged periods of operation.
Price includes 6 ARP 2000 case through-bolts (studs), 12 pt nuts, ground washers, and ARP assembly lube. ARP head studs sold separately.
Application notes: We recommend replacing the stock case through bolts and upgrading to the ARP 2000 heads studs on engines larger than 2270cc or 150 horsepower. We also recommend torquing heads to stock torque specifications using the factory prescribed torquing method.
