The proprietary ARP materials used to make our Porsche head studs, thru-bolts, and connecting rod bolts is about 33% stronger than the stock material, with a 220,000psi tensile strength and improved fatigue characteristics.
Use of ARP fasteners in your Porsche will ensure that your engine will be assembled with the most accurate and even clamping load possible, and will maintain that spec for prolonged periods of operation.
We recommend replacing the stock case through bolt (stud) and upgrading to the ARP 2000 through bolt (stud) on engines larger than 1720cc or 110 horsepower. Fits later cases with single through bolt for center main only. Price includes one ARP 2000 case through-bolt (studs), 12 pt nuts, ground washers, and ARP assembly lube. We recommend torquing heads to stock torque specifications using the factory prescribed torquing method. ARP head studs sold separately.
