LN Engineering offers a spin-on oil filter adapter, allowing for use of superior Mobil 1 or K&N Gold Branded oil filters with improved flow and better synthetic-resin impregnated filters. Proudly made in the USA. This also makes changing your oil a much simpler (and cleaner) task. The other benefit of using our spin-on filter adapter is that you can easily utilize a filter bypass to allow the addition of an external oil cooler or accusump to the oiling system, to further improve the performance of your oiling system. Fits 986/987 as well as 996/997 models and replaces Porsche part numbers 996 107 020 53 (54, 55)

Uses Napa Gold 1042, Mobil 1 M1107, or K&N Gold HP-1007 filter. These are the only recommended oil filters.

Installation notes: Oil both o-rings prior to installation. Screw the oil filter adapter onto the engine by hand. You can feel when the rubber O-rings begin to seat, and when the adapter housing bottoms onto the adapter base. Tighten the filter housing using installation tool (sold separately) or nylon or rubber strap filter wrench. Do not exceed 25 Nm (18 Ft/Lbs) torque when tightening after adapter has bottomed out onto block. Do not overtighten filter adapter OR filter. If an o-ring is damaged, replacements are available.
